AAPO Programs Bar1

Over the years, our organization, the American Association of Police Officers, has been overshadowed by its popular programming. AAPO’s leadership has always ceded center stage to its diverse collection of educational resources.

While the organization has never become a household name, AAPO’s programs nonetheless continue to be embraced by hundreds of thousands of Americans each year.

 “One reason for our success is our staff’s commitment to top-quality creative work,” states

President Fair. “From dynamic design to engaging writing to stunning graphics -- the programming AAPO creates is immediately striking.”

Ultimately, however, AAPO measures the success of its programs by the impact they have on public safety in our community.

Here too our programs possess a striking capacity to influence.

This impact is reflected in the….

  • ….host of law enforcement legends who have participated in AAPO’s publications, including PoliceNews;
  • ….thousands of police officers and citizens alike who seek out our educational resources at SafeStreet.org and PoliceUSA.com;
  • ….thousands of young people across the country who answer the Junior Police Academy's spirited call to citizenship; and the
  • ….hundreds of police departments who are now better prepared to deal with a line-of-duty death crisis thanks to the “Officer-Down Crisis Response” program.

As the American Association of Police Officers celebrates a milestone in its own history, our leadership begins to undertake our most ambitious project to date: the American Archive of Law Enforcement.
