SUPPORT IN A CRISIS

“Officer Down!” They are the most dreaded words in law enforcement.Chaplain Dave Fair, Director of Chaplain Services

The circumstances surrounding a line-of-duty death or an act of violence directed at a law enforcement officer is often so horrific and shocking that it impacts the entire community — devastating families and paralyzing police departments.

The Police Protective Fund offers three programs to assist departments meet the unique challenges faced in the days and months following a critical incident:

John Cooley Seminars

I encourage you to integrate these programs and the wisdom they provide into your department’s training. I am confident that in doing so you will not only mitigate the impact of a line of duty death, you will also improve your department’s ability to respond to a whole range of other crisis situations.

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU

These programs would not be possible without the extraordinary talents of all the law enforcement
veterans, police chaplains and survivors who generously contributed to this nationwide initiative.

Some of these kind souls are listed below. Should you get the chance, I hope you will join our organization in thanking them yourself.
