Acclaimed Chaplain Larry Todd Joins "Survivor Network"

Last week, one of Texas’ most experienced and acclaimed chaplains, Larry Todd, joined with other area chaplains in the production of video segments that will appear on the Survivor Network, a program service of the Police Protective Fund.
“This program was designed to reach those in grief who may need support in the months following a loss,”
Chaplain Larry Todd said Chaplain David Fair, Director of Chaplain Service and Host of the Survivor Network. “We are so fortunate to have Larry appear on the program. He has the ability to make an immediate connection with viewers, especially those in spiritual distress.”
An ordained chaplain, Todd specializes in officiating weddings and funerals as part of his ministry. He is a police and fire chaplain, as well as being a successful entrepreneur.
Larry worked with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for nine years, State Comptrollers Office for four years and he spent five years with the Texas department of Public Safety. He is a licensed life insurance agent and works with military members who are about to deploy to help them have the best possible coverage in times of potential danger.
A LIFETIME WORKING IN PUBLIC SAFETY
Larry Todd During Larry’s long history of working on behalf of emergency responders, he has seen first hand the suffering and pain these men and woman endure. “They see hurt and bad things each hour and it is bound to affect them,” Todd observed.
“Our role is to listen..and help them from being despondent over the tragedy they observe shift upon shift. We know it is a difficult job and we simply want to be there for them.”
Delivering a powerful, yet intimate message of hope, Larry’s video segments speak directly to those in grief — including surviving spouses, family members, fellow officers in the department and their spouses.
A native Texan, Chaplain Larry is CEO of Central Texas Crisis Chaplains,an informal group of ministers who simply want to help others. He works with two civic clubs and is currently a member of the Texas State Guard and a retired Texas National Guardsman.
Larry is married and has two children and three grandchildren.
