We are now on Facebook

We’re proud to announce the Junior Police Academy FACEBOOK page. As one of the first youth programs to establish a destination on the web — JPA  is eager to take the leap into social networking.

FACEBOOK allows us to interact with our instructors in a less formal way.  It is also an opportunity to connect with cadets and their parents.  Cadets will also have a way to interact with each other regardless of whether they be in Austin, Texas or Seward, Alaska.

JPA will also to posting nearly 20 years of videos and photos. “We hope to catch up with cadets who went through the program years ago,” said Kelly LeConte, Program Director.  “By working through the networks all middle and high schools already have established on FACEBOOK, we will be able to reconnect with past cadets….some now in their thirties with kids of their own! So check back and be prepared to tag pictures from youth youth.”

Facebook will be a resource to spread information about projects we are working on, publications, videos, cadets group photos and stories we find important, interesting or just inspiring.
